Wade H. Williams was born in Durham, N. C. in 1950.
He studied art while attending St. Augustine's College in N. C. under full scholarship
in tennis. (Which he taught for a number of years)
In 1972, after earning B.A. in Fine Art, Mr. Williams attended the ART Student's
League of N. Y. C. where he studied drawing, painting, and anatomy from 1979 to 1989.
During this time, his works have appeared in a number of exhibits. His last showing
in N. Y. C. was at the Cork Gallery at Lincoln Center.
Mr. Williams lived in Belize Central America on a small tropical island named Caye
Caulker. A selection of his original oil and watercolor paintings were exhibited at the Bliss Institute art gallery. Also
a number of his paintings are hanging in the Mexican Embassy in Belize City.
Presently, he is working for the city of Philadelphia in the Mural Arts Program
and
teaching art in the After School Program.
